You need your journal. Record your daily progress. This is day 6. We will start the day with two videos. You should have detailed notes, you may be unable to complete the progressive failure test, and not earn credit for this marking period.
Start building your car(s).
(The average student builds 6-16 cars to earn a grade.)

We will start the hour with a real quick explanation of the aircraft on the ceiling, a space/gravity demo, a video on the size of stars then finish with a Moonshots. (Then some folks will finish up the NWEA, the rest will build cars.)

Log in and go to NWEA. When class starts, we will watch this, (and Mr E will attempt not to cry,... for many reasons,... bromance etc.) If done with NWEA, after the movie, you will quietly move to the lab to build your car.

Please log on, put on headphones, view "We choose the Moon" and then read the "How to build an off road electric car" and take the test today to 100% You have until next Tuesday to accomplish the car test.

Self
A Keltner List for relationships
Consider each question and answer truthfully with a simple yes or no response:
  1. Does your partner make you a better person, and do you do the same for them? Do you want to be a better person for them?
  2. Are you and your partner both comfortable with sharing feelings, relying on each other, being close, and able to avoid worrying about the other person leaving?
  3. Do you and your partner accept each other for who you are, without trying to change each other?
  4. When disagreements arise, do you and your partner communicate respectfully and without contempt or negativity?
  5. Do you and your partner share decision-making, power and influence in the relationship?
  6. Is your partner your best friend, and are you theirs?
  7. Do you and your partner think more in terms of “we” and “us,” rather than “you” and “I”?
    8. Would you and your partner trust each other with the passwords to social media and bank accounts, emails?
    9. Do you and your partner have good opinions of each other – without having an over inflated positive view?
    10. Do your close friends, as well as your partner’s, think you have a great relationship that will stand the test of time?
    11. Is your relationship free of red flags like cheating, jealousy and controlling behavior?
    12. Do you and your partner share the same values when it comes to politics, religion, the importance of marriage, the desire to have kids (or not) and how to parent?
    13. Are you and your partner willing to sacrifice your own needs, desires and goals for each other (without being a doormat)?
    14. Do you and your partner both have agreeable and emotionally stable personalities?

Step 1-State the problem- Construct a hoop flyer to go the greatest possible distance using the materials provided.
Step 2- Research the problem-internet
Step 3- Identify all the variables (At least six) Create experiment on computer and print off.
Step 4- Create data gathering table which has all variables, and flight distance, five flights for each variable, toss the low and high, average the remaining three results.
Results-
Which variable had the greatest impact on total distance flown?
Which variable had the least impact on the total distance flown?

  1. Earth is struck by five pounds or little more than 2 kilograms of sunlight every second.
  2. The very furthest galaxies are spreading away from us at more than 90% of the speed of light.
  3. The mass of a black hole is directly related to its size. A bigger black hole will have more mass. The mass of our universe appears to be the exact amount needed to make a black hole the size of our universe. In other words: We may all live inside a black hole.
  4. If two pieces of the same type of metal touch in space, they will bond and be permanently stuck together.
  5. The Sun contains 99.86% of all the matter in the Solar System.
  6. The core of the sun produces heat at about the same rate as compost (per volume).
  7. Astronauts in orbit actually experience 90% of the gravity that people on the surface of Earth experience. They float because they are essentially in free fall.
  8. Some Neutron stars are only six miles across and spin 600-700 times a second.
  9. More energy from the sun hits Earth every hour than the planet uses in a year.
  10. The Milky Way galaxy is whirling rapidly, spinning our sun and all its other stars at around 100 million km per hour.

A Freak of Navigation

En route from Vancouver to Australia on Dec. 30, 1899, the captain of the S.S. Warrimoo spotted a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. At midnight, he stopped the ship at the intersection of the international date line and the equator.
At that moment, the ship was straddling two different hemispheres, days, months, years, seasons, and centuries, all at the same time. By passing between the bow and the stern, passengers could stroll between winter and summer, north and south, and the 19th and 20th centuries.
The downside: For the Warrimoo, Dec. 31 disappeared entirely.
(Roberto Casati points out that if you return to this point on June 21 and lie down on the deck, at midnight your left hand will be in summer, your right hand in spring, your left foot in winter, and your right foot in autumn.)
